ProtectedSymmetricKeys NuGet Package

simply using RNGCryptoServiceProvider and ProtectedData, at machine scope, to generate symmetric keys with some (perhaps small) degree of protection via encryption.

the protected key is only usable from the same Windows machine. decryption/compromise could be achieved by users with access to the same machine.
